What to Expect:

Our Products

Be assured that only the best products will be used to protect your investment. It is just as important to our reputation as it is for your residence that products of the highest quality are used. This ensures a great finish as well as durability that will last for years to come. Some of our most commonly used products include name brands such as Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore; however, we may opt for alternative products if we believe them to be the best available for your application. As an active participant in the eco-friendly movement, we promote the use of "green" paints with less or 0% V.O.C.s.

Our Employees

At Capital Painting, we maintain an in-house staff that has been trained and certified to uphold our quality standards. Some Chicago painting contractors and suburban Chicago painters use subcontractors in order to save a buck. Be cautious when painting contractors say they are insured but use subcontractors. Often times their subcontractors are not insured and lack the necessary coverage to be in your home or business. Not only are all of our employees insured; we also maintain a drug-free work environment policy.

The Capital Process

Exterior Painting Services

When necessary, pressure washing can help clean the surface for painting. Scraping is done to all areas where the paint is loose or flaking. Next, all bare wood or metal is primed for proper topcoat adhesion. All areas around the home that were previously caulked are re-caulked, which may include window and door trim. Most wood siding seams are not designed to be caulked due to the amount that they shift and move during different weather conditions. When spraying is possible, all windows, light fixtures and any other necessary items are masked. Drop cloths are used for ground protection to protect from any drips or spills. All areas that cannot be sprayed are rolled if possible and any areas that cannot be rolled or sprayed are paintbrush applied. After painting and a final clean up, our site supervisor inspects for areas that may need touch-up application.

Interior Painting Services

All furniture is centered in the middle of the room. Valuables and furniture are protected from paint with plastic or drop cloths. All minor holes, nail pops, and cracks will be patched, sanded and primed. Masking is used to protect baseboard from paint. All faceplates are removed and replaced when finished. After paint is applied, the area is left to a broom clean appearance and all furniture is put back into place.
